What is Happy Well?

Happy Well was created under the premise that we are most effective achieving goals – personal, professional, physical and/or emotional by addressing our overall wellness. Mind and body.

Happy Well = the concept that any change we want to make intrinsically involves our physical, mental and emotional selves, and can be achieved by integrating all parts of ourselves to engage with “intention”.

When using this researched, proven approach we integrate movement along with goal management. What your goals are will be determined by the person who knows best….YOU! And you are powerful if you put your mind to it!! Accountability is a big part of the Happy Well program. Reward systems are curated for you and your motivation needs.

I am not a therapist. I am really good at time management, discipline, goal-setting and motivation, and I’m here to coach you through this process. At times you might feel “stuck” and I’ll help you focus your goals, and reach them through intentional thoughts & behaviors, and accountability.

How does it Work?

I curate to the individual based on how/what they want to work on.  Each client I'll discuss my basic concept of movement and goal setting with accountability.  Some clients love the idea of creating a Character Sheet and literally creating an "Avatar or character image" using points and leveling up with a reward. Others don't like the "child-like" nature and instead choose to do direct goal-setting/accountability.  Still others want mostly movement and light on goal-setting.  We agree together on duration and frequency.

A new client can expect an initial "meet and greet" (typically longer than an hour) to get to know each other, get a sense of each other's vibe and talk about general goals/challenges/inspirations.  They will leave that first meeting with an assignment which I will then distill and organize for a more strategic discussion.  The second communication is when we'd agree on priority goals and next steps.

I guide you through the process of setting intention and achieving that through action.

My Story

                      Who Am I?

I am Sue! I have spent a lifetime of learning—making mistakes, having big "wins", traveling extensively, leading retreats and earned a BA in sociology and a MBA (Business).  Professionally I have continued my education in communication, professional development, engagement, team functionality/culture and spent the last several years privately researching and learning for personal growth and development, which I have additionally used with my clients.

I have realized my passion for helping others find their path, via goal-setting, mindfulness and intentional mindset and behaviors.

For myself, quite simply I want to like and respect myself—be the best version of myself every day. I try!

For a client, the desire to change is important because only they can make that change...that only consistently happens (and sticks) if they WANT it. An open mind is important because I utilize many different tools in the toolbox to motivate change. One day it might be laughter, another meditation and/or actions based in concepts of neuroplasticity...the sky is the limit and sometimes it might seem "woo woo" or just plain silly.

                              Why?

What's Important to Me?

For myself, it's important to me to move my body in (frequently challenging) and various ways...particularly on the water, in the forest and on the dance floor. It is a focus for myself to be a lifelong learner of how I can be the better me. I don't always make the mark but my hope is to lead with compassion and "do no harm".  For people I work with, it's most important that one, they desire change...or at least want to examine and work on themselves/create positive habits (or minimize ones that don't serve them well). Second, it's really great when a person maintains an open mind. Eg, perhaps not everyone chooses laughter yoga but being open to try is excellent.
